I don't necessarily agree with the article. Hindi naman kasi talaga because of any 'judgmental' aspect 'yung rule. Discipline and respect lang naman. The argument that 'eh paano kung wala akong t-shirt? pantalon?' doesn't really work, at least in my opinion. Puwede ka naman manghiram 'di ba? Part of the rule is for people to go the extra mile. And sa totoo lang, if we're still going to follow 'yung mentality and sentiments ng previous culture, tulad ng 'awa-awa, utang na loob', eh we'll be having the same results over and over again.

What we need right now, to me, is discipline and order muna, and right direction. Pero more than anything, it is our own mentality and perception ang dapat magbago.

I agree with Yuri. The way you dress is a reflection of the level of respect you show the person you are meeting with.

Yan ang problema sa Marikina. Inu-una ang porma bago sa substansya. Puro pang mukha ang importante. Kailangan malinis, kailangan bihis, kailangan naka-ngiti. Bawal masungit.

Your opinion is very much welcome Yuri.

The church with rules in outfit is somewhat an oxymoron. In 1 Samuel 16:7 it says "Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart." So that would contradict God's nature. But sadly, some Catholic churches has this rule now.

That sign is very much appropriate. It's being discreet in grooming at an appropriate setting. I think they should do the same for churches. People go to church with their shorts, flip flops, and t-shirts having no dignity nor respect to the occasion. There's a time and place for everything and being at a place where such rules apply, then it should be met. Appearance matter, and as humans obviously the first thing we see is the way a person looks. Test have been done, that the way a person looks affects the way other people treat him/her. It's not right, but it's true. So that's my argument. :D

i don't think it is what it means... if we look at it on the positive side, it is telling us to look more decent, or proper. or to put it simply, dress accordingly.
