5th Avenue Pizza in Pasig

I was in my adventurous self again. I went out walking along C. Raymundo in Pasig City to look for a new place to eat. It was just near from where i live though. Then i found an unknown pizza outlet named, 5th Avenue.

I only brought about 130 pesos in my pocket. I thought that amount was enough in this unknown pizza outlet. But when i looked at the prices. Oh, no. Anyway, i chose the food that was below 100 pesos. It was Crispy BBQ Fish Fillet, its a piadinas. Piadinas is an Italian origin flatbread. The appearance is like the Mexican taco. I brought the food home.

When I took my first bite, it was WOW. I really like the taste! The 95 peso price was worth it.

5th Avenue is Filipino owned. It is a New York inspired pizza company, just like the more popular Yellow Cab pizza.

Mabini Malate Photos

I went out to watch the Aliwan Festival in Luneta on April 26, 2009. Since i don’t have my own car yet, i decided to ride a jeepney from Marcelo Del Pilar street going to EDSA. Then the trigger happy thought in me started to kick in. Thus i decided to take photos, walking from the mouth of Marcelo Del Pilar st. to Malate church.

Mabini Malate is the most famous red light district in Metro Manila. There are a lot of affordable hotels and pension houses in Malate. When you visit Manila i recommend you search for good bargains here. The place is relatively safe despite its reputation. Just search Google.

I just passed through to take photos. Believe me. Hahaha..

The Hobbit House, this bar  was featured on tv many years ago. They hire midgets as waiters and waitresses.

La Mesa Eco Park

It was my first to visit La Mesa Eco Park last Holy Week. The place is best place for families, friends and lovers alike. But i went there alone, but still i enjoyed it nonetheless.

They also have boat rental and horseback riding. Much like in Baguio.

By looking at the surroundings, i find it odd that this park is situated right inside Metro Manila. Manila is notorious for its pollution and being a highly urbanized city, all concrete and stones.

How I got there. I rode a bus plying along EDSA, bus going to Fairview. I stopped in Marlboro St.

Sir, Your Money is Fake Scam!

Be careful of another twist of fake money scam around Metro Manila.

This time, the culprits are store owners or cashiers.

This is how these lowlifes do it. When you hand over your money to pay for the goods you intend to buy to the cashier, the cashier will switch your money with a fake money and will declare to you like “Sir, your money is fake!.” In tagalog, “Sir, fake ang pera nyo.” Much to your embarrassment.

How to avoid this scam. When you pay, take a good look at your money even when the money is in the cashier’s hand.

In case you forgot to do above. Tell the police that you’ve been duped. Ask around other people about the store’s modus operandi.

From Manila to Bulacan

Yesterday, April 9, I wanted to do something different, and also i’ve always desire to go further beyond Metro Manila. I’ve been to Batangas once, but it was just in the beach somewhere, so I did not really see the full view of Batangas, so to speak.

First, i went to Le Mesa Eco Park. I just took photos there, will post them hopefully this month. After more than hour in Le Mesa. I took a bus going to Bulacan. I took the Sapang Palay route.

I stopped over at Tungko. Here are the photos i took.

Actually this is about 2 kilometers off Tungko, i just rode a jeepney to Tungko.

I Like Adobo Republic

Although, i’m not exactly a pork lover, i find it dirty in my opinion. Adobo Republic makes it up for me. The dish i ate from was soo tasty, i think it was the Hot and Spicy pork, cost 120 a meal, albeit no drinks included yet. And to add, i only eat half a cup of rice in my every meal, but i ate it all. It was that good.

And yeah, their customer service is good too. I recommend Adobo Republic!

I was at their Claro M. Recto Avenue branch, just few meters from University of the East.

This is Adobo Republic’s contact information:

The Tea Republic at SM Megamall

To beat the summer is by spending inside air conditioned malls such as SM. I was roaming around, looking for an unconquered place, thus i found the not so crowded coffee corner named The Tea Republic.

They also offer shakes, coffee, pastries, cakes. I ordered a shake, they called it Republique Red Currant.

When my shake was served, there was no tissue. It was a minus in my opinion. So i just continued reading the magazine that i brought. After more than hour, i decided to go home. I was about ten meters away from the Tea Republic when their male attendant ran after me, and asked me, “Sir, nakapagbayad na po ba kayo?”
